Osteopathy
Osteopathy is hands-on care to the joints including both the peripheral joints and spine. It involves using the hands to assess, diagnose, treat, and prevent illness or injury. Our therapists will mobilise your muscles and joints using techniques including stretching, gentle pressure and resistance.
Counterstrain (PIR/RI Techniques)
High velocity-low amplitude (the classic “thrust” technique)
Muscle energy technique (MET)
Myo-fascial release

Osteopathic treatment does involve spine manipulation where appropriate by combining the movement and mobilisation of joints to achieve their true range of motion. It's designed to relieve pressure on joints, reduce inflammation, muscle spasm and improve nerve function. It’s often used to treat back, neck, shoulder, and headache pain, and can also be used to treat other types of pain such as disc herniation pain.
Osteopathic treatment along with 3B Laser Therapy and Bio Medical Dry Needling is a very effective combined treatment to release problematic joints / associated back pain / soft tissue injury.
A 2023 Meta-analysis (meaning a top quality level of scientific study) indicates that "high level scientific evidence supports the use of Osteopathy for low back pain, sciatica, cervical radiculopathy and soft tissues sprains/strains" (Khalaf et al., 2023).
